This quotation is for price reference only and does not constitute a completed transaction; the final terms are subject to the formal contract or agreement signed by both parties.
The Quotation Generator lets you enter the quoting party, the recipient, a validity date, and the quantity and unit price of each item, and builds a neatly laid-out quotation preview right below the form. You can then print it or save it as a PDF through your browser's print function. It suits giving a client a clear price breakdown before a formal contract is signed. Its boundaries first: this is a price-reference document, with a fixed note at the bottom stating that it does not mean a transaction has been agreed. It has no tax field, cannot save your work, does not number quotes automatically, and offers no place for a logo, a signature, or payment terms.
We ran the page's arithmetic on its own. Three lines: 3 services at 1200, 10 services at 49.9, and 1 service at 300.5. The line amounts come out as 3600.00, 499.00, and 300.50, and the Total Quote is 4399.50. The rules are simple: each line amount is quantity times unit price, the total is the sum of all line amounts, and amounts are displayed with two decimals. Note that calculations use unrounded values and round only for display, so with three-decimal unit prices the displayed lines can differ from the total by one cent. For example, two lines of '3 items at 0.335' each have a true amount of 1.005 and display as 1.01, while the total shows 2.01 rather than 2.02 (the Invoice Generator uses the same arithmetic). To avoid disputes, keep unit prices to two decimals.
A quotation is usually an invitation to deal or a price reference, and whether it binds anyone depends on what the parties agree and on local law. The note at the bottom of the page also says it does not mean a transaction has been agreed. When you need legal certainty, sign a formal contract, and ask a professional about specifics.
No. There is no tax-rate field, and the total is simply the sum of the lines. For a tax-inclusive quote, enter tax-inclusive unit prices yourself and say so in the item names. If you need tax shown as its own line, use the site's Invoice Generator.
Click 'Print / Export as PDF', and in the browser's print window set the destination to 'Save as PDF' (the exact wording varies by browser) and save. The editing area is hidden automatically when printing, so only the white quotation preview is output.
No. Nothing is stored anywhere; the content is gone after a reload or when the page is closed, so export a PDF as soon as you are done.
Everything is handled in your browser. The client details and prices you enter are used only to build the preview on the page. The code makes no network request that sends them to a server, and it stores nothing. 'Print / Export as PDF' calls the browser's built-in print function. When you close or reload the page, what you typed is gone.
